What we collect

When you join the interest list we collect your full name, email address, state, professional status, and — if you choose — your Instagram handle and business name. We also record whether you opted in to email updates and when you submitted the form.

Why we collect it

To understand who is interested in the NMBA community, to contact you about its development, to list you on our public Members page, and — only if you opted in — to send occasional email updates.

How it is stored and protected

Submissions are stored in a secured database that is not publicly accessible. Your email address is never published. Your name, state, professional status, and — if you provided them — your business name and Instagram handle are shown on our public Members page, which lists everyone who has joined the interest list. To prevent spam, we keep a one-way scrambled version of your network address, not the address itself.

Third-party services

The website and its database are hosted by our website platform provider, which processes data on our behalf. [Any additional services, such as an email newsletter provider — to be confirmed.] We do not sell your information.

Email updates and unsubscribing

We only send email updates to people who checked the consent box. Every update will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can also email us to be removed.

Removing your information

To have your information updated or deleted, email us at the address below and we'll take care of it.
